SOCIAL MEDIA & GAIA PHOTOS

We’ve noticed that some of you who are Facebook Fans are now following Gaia Photos on Twitter (@GaiaPhotos).  As they say in Twitterland, “Thanks For The Follow!” If you’re a Twitter user you’ve probably noticed that thousands of photo industry people, foundations, magazines, top bloggers and even galleries and museums are using Twitter to source good photography.

We are excited about this development and so far our followers include Photo News Today, World Wildlife Federation, Save the Children, Nepal TV, Slate Art Guide, SlideLuckPotShow, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Third Floor Gallery in Wales just to mention a few.  We even have a Magnum Photos photographer following along with us after discovering us on Twitter….and he leaves nice comments right here on this website too!

Here’s how to follow us on Twitter.

GAIA PHOTOS FACEBOOK FAN PAGE

Our Facebook Page has grown by nearly 400 fans in the last month and we’re happy to see you all there!  If you feel some of your Facebook Friends would enjoy our photography, please use the “suggest to friends” link underneath the Gaia Photos logo.  Gaia Photos photographers have been busy, but behind the scenes, all of us have been giving important feedback to our director, Morten Svenningsen, when he requests it.  It’s how we make it all work and we’ll share some ideas with all of you once some of our plans come to light.

A FINAL THOUGHT

Finally, we’re quite sure all of you join us in offering sincere condolences to the family, friends and associates of freelance photojournalist Fabio Polenghi from Milano, Italy.  He lost his life in Bangkok, Thailand last week taking pictures of the world around him.

Please stay tuned for more new from Gaia Photos next month!  As always, your comments are appreciated!
